Terms of Service

Seokgamoney Terms of Service

Version 1.1 ยท Effective 6 October 2026

This is a translation. The Korean version is the governing text.

At a glance

You must be 14 or older, and one person may hold one account.

LUCK is a point used only inside the app. It cannot be cashed out or sold. Paid purchases go only through the App Store or Google Play, and refunds follow the store's process. If a Wish Lantern is rejected, you can reuse the credit or get a refund.

Wish Lanterns are public and moderated. No profanity, ads, other people's personal data, or commercial use of celebrity photos.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions for using the mobile application Seokgamoney and its related services (the "Service") provided by Bug Hole Inc. (the "Company"), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Company and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "User" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
  2. "Account" means a user's Service account created by linking a Google, Apple, Kakao or LINE account.
  3. "LUCK" means the virtual points used in the Service, earned through activities such as tapping the moktak or mala, walking, practice, watching ads and inviting friends, or bought for money, and exchanged for items, Wish Lanterns and similar. LUCK is not money or property.
  4. "Free LUCK" means LUCK granted at no charge through Service activities or Company events. "Paid LUCK" means LUCK bought for money or included in a paid product.
  5. "Items" means digital content used to decorate a character or tool in the Service, such as boutique hair, outfits and accessories, and moktak or mala decorations.
  6. "Wish Lantern" means content paid for with money or LUCK in which a user writes a wish that is displayed in the Service for a set period, and the resulting post.
  7. "Paid Services" means Wish Lanterns, Paid LUCK, paid items or passes, and any other service a user pays for through the Apple App Store or Google Play (the "App Stores").
  8. "Posts" means text, names, photos and other information a user uploads, including to Wish Lanterns.

Article 3 (Posting and amending the Terms)

  1. The Company posts these Terms on the app's consent screen and on a web page designated by the Company.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other applicable laws.
  3. When amending, the Company announces the effective date and reasons in the app and on the posting page at least 7 days before the effective date. Changes unfavourable or material to users (Paid Service conditions, loss or refund conditions for LUCK and items, grounds for restriction, etc.) are announced 30 days in advance and notified individually by signup email or app notification.
  4. For changes that are not unfavourable to users, a user who does not object by the effective date is deemed to have accepted, provided the Company clearly stated in the notice under paragraph 3 that silence would be treated as acceptance. For changes unfavourable to users, the Company shows the consent screen again at the first login after the effective date and obtains express agreement. A user who does not agree may terminate by deleting their account, in which case Paid LUCK and the remaining period of Paid Services are refunded under Article 9.
  5. Matters not covered by these Terms follow applicable law, App Store policies, and the Company's operating policies and notices in the app.

Article 4 (Formation of the agreement)

  1. The agreement is formed when a user signs in with a Google, Apple, Kakao or LINE account and then, on the consent screen that follows, agrees to these Terms and confirms the Privacy Policy. The required information listed in the Privacy Policy is collected to perform this agreement without separate consent. Optional information is collected only with the user's separate consent.
  2. Only people aged 14 or older may sign up. The Company confirms this on the consent screen, and people under 14 cannot currently sign up. If signup with a legal guardian's consent is introduced, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be amended first.
  3. The Company may refuse signup or later terminate an account in the following cases.
    1. Another person's account or information is used
    2. A restricted user registers again during the restriction
    3. Signup is for an improper purpose (bots, multiple accounts, etc.)
    4. A person under 14 signs up
  4. One person, one account. Multiple accounts for invite rewards, LUCK or similar are prohibited.

Article 5 (Account management)

  1. An account may be used only by its holder and may not be transferred, lent or sold.
  2. Users must keep the Google, Apple, Kakao or LINE account they use to sign in secure. The Company is not liable for loss caused by a user's failure to do so, absent the Company's intent or negligence.
  3. The Company may ask a user to verify identity through the signup email in order to recover an account.

Article 6 (Content of the Service and changes)

  1. The Company provides moktak and mala, walking rewards, practice (attendance), boutique and customization, Wish Lanterns, friend invites, notifications, rewarded ads and similar features. Details, LUCK amounts, item prices and display periods follow the notices in the app.
  2. The Company may add, change or end features, reward rules, items and prices for operational or technical reasons. Changes unfavourable to users are announced under Article 3.
  3. The Service does not provide religious rites or spiritual efficacy. Wish Lanterns, LUCK and practice are entertainment and self care content. The Company does not guarantee that any wish will come true.
  4. The Company may suspend all or part of the Service for equipment maintenance or replacement, network failure, outages at App Stores or third party services (Google, Apple, ad partners, etc.), natural disaster or other force majeure. Planned suspensions are announced in advance, and interruptions to Paid Services are handled under Article 10.
  5. If the Company ends the Service entirely, it announces and individually notifies users at least 30 days in advance and refunds unused Paid LUCK and the remaining period of Paid Services in accordance with applicable law.

Article 7 (LUCK and items)

  1. LUCK is a virtual point used inside the Service. Except through the exchange feature in paragraph 8, it cannot be exchanged for cash, goods or points of other services, and cannot be transferred, lent, sold or pledged. Receiving LUCK by praying together on other users' Wish Lanterns, exchanging friend invite rewards and other ways the Service provides are permitted.
  2. Free LUCK is granted and expires under Company policy and is not refundable. The Company may reclaim Free LUCK granted by mistake or through an event error.
  3. If the Company sells Paid LUCK or grants it as a benefit of a paid product, its validity period is shown on the checkout screen. If none is shown, it may be used until account deletion. Free LUCK is deducted before Paid LUCK.
  4. Items are not sold to users. They are a licence to use the content in the Service while the account exists. Copyright and ownership of items remain with the Company.
  5. The Company may change an item's appearance to fix errors or comply with content policy. If a paid item is discontinued, the Company compensates with an equivalent item or LUCK.
  6. Deleting an account permanently removes all LUCK and items.
  7. The history of LUCK earned, spent, reclaimed and expired is available on the app's history screen, and questions about it may be sent to the contact in Article 19.
  8. Exchanging LUCK for goods. The Company may offer a feature to exchange Free LUCK for goods it designates (such as mobile gift vouchers). In that case the following apply.
    1. The goods available, the LUCK required, quantities, periods and limits per person are shown on the exchange screen, and the Company may change the goods or suspend exchanges depending on stock and partner circumstances.
    2. Paid LUCK cannot be exchanged for goods and may be used only for digital content within the Service.
    3. A completed exchange cannot be cancelled, exchanged again or refunded in cash. Use of a voucher is subject to the issuer's terms.
    4. LUCK obtained in breach of Article 13 (step manipulation, multiple accounts, etc.) cannot be exchanged, and the Company may recover the value of goods already exchanged.
    5. Information needed to deliver goods (such as a mobile number) is collected separately at the time of exchange in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and where withholding tax applies the Company explains this and the required steps before the exchange.

Article 8 (Paid Services and payment)

  1. Types, prices and periods of Paid Services are shown on the checkout screen. Prices include VAT and may vary by App Store and country.
  2. Payment is made only through App Store in app purchase. Registration, authentication and billing of payment methods follow the App Store operator's terms. The Company stores no payment method details.
  3. The Company delivers a Paid Service after verifying the receipt with the App Store. If verification fails, or the App Store cancels, refunds or voids the payment, the Company may reclaim or stop the Paid Service and any LUCK, items or posts obtained through it.
  4. Minors. Users under 19 need a legal guardian's consent to buy Paid Services. A purchase without consent may be cancelled by the guardian through the contact in Article 19 or the App Store refund process. Cancellation may be limited where a minor pretended to be an adult or to have guardian consent.
  5. Purchase history is available in the app or through App Store receipts.

Article 9 (Withdrawal and refunds)

  1. Because Paid Services are sold only through App Store in app purchase, withdrawals and refunds are handled only through the App Store where you paid. Apple App Store purchases follow Apple's refund request process (reportaproblem.apple.com or your App Store purchase history). Google Play purchases follow Google Play's refund request process. Whether and when a refund is granted is decided under each App Store's policy. The Company provides no separate refund feature in the app, and if you ask the Company directly it will point you to the relevant App Store process.
  2. You may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of confirming its details through the process in paragraph 1. Under Article 17(2) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, withdrawal is limited in the following cases, which the Company discloses on the checkout screen and asks you to confirm before payment.
    1. Where provision of digital content has begun, such as a Wish Lantern that has passed review and been displayed, or Paid LUCK that has already been spent
    2. Where the value has been substantially reduced by use
  3. If a Wish Lantern is rejected, the purchased lantern credit is not lost. It is automatically issued again and can be used to submit a new wish. If you want a refund for a rejected lantern instead, you must apply through the App Store process in paragraph 1, and the Company confirms the rejection to the App Store on request.
  4. Once an App Store refund is completed, the Company reclaims the LUCK, items, lantern display and credits delivered for that payment. If LUCK already spent is reclaimed, the account balance may become negative and LUCK use is limited until the balance is restored.
  5. Cancellation of a minor's purchase under Article 8(4) is requested by the legal guardian through the App Store process in paragraph 1, with the proof of guardianship the App Store requires.
  6. Where a Paid Service was not delivered at all for reasons attributable to the Company, or the Service or a Paid Service is discontinued, the Company arranges a refund with the App Store or compensates with equivalent LUCK or items.
  7. Repeated abuse of refunds (buying, using and refunding, etc.) may lead to restriction under Article 14.

Article 10 (Interruption of Paid Services)

If, for reasons attributable to the Company, a Paid Service is unavailable for 4 consecutive hours or 24 cumulative hours in a month, the Company extends the period by the lost time or compensates with equivalent LUCK. Interruptions caused by App Stores, carriers, ad partners or force majeure are excluded, except for any period in which the Company knew of the failure and failed to respond reasonably.

Article 11 (Wish Lanterns and posts)

  1. Users may post a wish as a Wish Lantern. Posts are shown to other logged in users with the display name and avatar, and may be machine translated into languages designated by the Company.
  2. Copyright in a post belongs to the user. The user grants the Company a free, nonexclusive licence to store, reproduce, translate, display and moderate the post within the Service. The licence ends when the display period expires or the user deletes the post (moderation records the Company must keep by law excepted). If the Company wishes to use a post to promote the Service outside the app (screenshots, social media, etc.), it asks the user for separate consent at that time, which the user may withdraw at any time.
  3. Users may not post the following.
    1. Another person's personal information (real name, contact details, address, etc.), likeness or private life without consent
    2. Insults, disparagement, hate, harassment or threats against a person or group
    3. Profanity, including disguised forms such as initial consonant or numeric substitutions
    4. Obscene or violent content, or content that solicits or assists illegal acts
    5. Content that encourages self harm or suicide
    6. Advertising, promotion, vote solicitation or spam
    7. Photos or text that infringe copyright, trademark, publicity or other intellectual property rights (including commercial use of celebrities' or characters' images and names)
    8. Anything else contrary to law or public morals
  4. Moderation. Posts are screened by AI before display, and reviewed by the Company's staff where needed. The Company may reject, hide or delete any post that falls under, or may fall under, paragraph 3, and may review posts already displayed again when the moderation policy changes. Users are told the reason for rejection.
  5. Appeals. A user may request another review of a rejection or removal through the appeal feature in the app. The Company responds within 14 days of the request.
  6. Reports and blocks. Users may report posts or block their authors. Posts reported a set number of times are hidden immediately pending review. Abuse of reporting is grounds for restriction.
  7. Machine translation. Translations are generated by AI and may differ from the original. The Company does not guarantee accuracy and is not liable for misunderstandings caused by translation, absent intent or gross negligence.
  8. Users are responsible for their posts and must resolve, at their own cost, any dispute with third parties arising from them. On receiving an infringement notice, the Company suspends display in accordance with the Copyright Act and notifies the poster.

Article 12 (Customization with your photos)

  1. In features that use your photos, such as moktak, mala beads, Magic Tee and Magic Pants, photos are processed only on your device and are never sent to Company servers.
  2. Users may use only photos they own or are licensed to use. Disputes over portrait, publicity or copyright rights arising from screenshots or sharing by the user are the user's responsibility.
  3. The Company does not sell items containing the image or name of a specific celebrity, artist or character without the rights holder's permission.

Article 13 (Prohibited conduct)

Users must not do the following.

  1. Obtain LUCK, items or rewards by improper means such as step count manipulation, auto clickers or macros, app tampering or forged server requests
  2. Collect invite or event rewards through multiple accounts
  3. Circumvent the moderation system or interfere with operations
  4. Reverse engineer, crawl, copy or redistribute the Service or any part of it
  5. Sell, transfer or cash out LUCK, items or accounts
  6. Infringe the intellectual property, reputation or personal information of the Company or others
  7. Repeatedly obtain ad rewards improperly, or block or manipulate ads
  8. Otherwise violate law, these Terms or operating policies

Article 14 (Restrictions)

  1. For violations of Articles 4, 9(5), 11 or 13, the Company may, according to severity, issue a warning, delete posts, reclaim improperly obtained LUCK or items, restrict features, suspend temporarily, or suspend permanently (terminate the account).
  2. The Company notifies the reason, a summary of the facts it relied on (for example an abnormal step count pattern or multiple accounts on one device), and the content and period of the restriction by app notification or email. Where urgent protection of the Service is needed, it may act first and notify afterwards.
  3. A user may object through the contact in Article 19 within 15 days of notification. If the objection is justified, use is restored immediately.
  4. LUCK and items in a permanently suspended account are forfeited. Paid LUCK and the remaining period of Paid Services unrelated to the violation are refunded in accordance with applicable law.

Article 15 (Termination and account deletion)

  1. Users may terminate at any time by deleting their account on the app's Profile โ€บ Account screen. The Company processes it without delay.
  2. Deleting an account permanently removes LUCK, items, purchase benefits, Wish Lanterns and invite records. Users with unused Paid LUCK or an active Paid Service may request a refund under Article 9 before deleting.
  3. The Company destroys personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy, except information it must retain by law.

Article 16 (Advertising and third party services)

  1. The Company may display ads in the Service, and users may watch rewarded ads to receive LUCK or other rewards. Rewards are paid only after the ad partner confirms completion.
  2. Transactions between a user and an advertiser are solely between them. The Company is not liable absent intent or negligence.
  3. Use of third party services such as Google, Apple and ad partners is subject to their own terms.

Article 17 (Intellectual property)

  1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Service and its characters (including Kim Buddha), graphics, sounds, items, text and software belong to the Company or their rightful owners.
  2. Users may use the Service only for personal, noncommercial purposes and may not reproduce, distribute or sell Service content or create derivative works such as merchandise without the Company's prior written consent. Sharing a screenshot of your own character on personal social media is permitted.

Article 18 (Limitation of liability)

  1. To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for loss related to free features (except the Company's intent or gross negligence), loss caused by the user, failures of devices, networks, App Stores or third party services (only where the Company is not at fault), disputes between users or with third parties, reliance on the content of posts or translations, or religious or spiritual expectations of the Service.
  2. Where the Company is liable, its liability is limited to the amount the user actually paid for Paid Services in the preceding 3 months. The cap does not apply to loss caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence, loss caused by the Company's negligence in selecting or supervising third party providers, injury to life, body or personal information, or liability that cannot be limited under consumer law.
  3. A user who causes loss to the Company by violating these Terms must compensate for it.
